ESS Environmental has over 35 years of experience in mold and indoor air quality inspections, sampling, project monitoring and consulting. We are fully trained, certified and ready to provide the following services for any and all of your mold or indoor air quality issues.

1) Complete Building Inspections (Mold and Indoor Air Quality)- Building Inspections consist of a complete visual inspection to identify all potential problem areas where a leak or water damage may have originated. The areas are then checked via a moisture meter and/or thermal imaging to determine the extent of the water damage that may be behind covered surfaces, air or bulk sampling to determine the extent of any possible airborne or surface contamination and a complete report of findings. If this is an indoor air quality issue we would also perform a visual inspection to identify any VOCs (volatile organic compounds) or allergens such as pet hair and dandruff, rat or mice feces or any other potential hazards that may be affecting air quality. We can also, if requested or required, perform vacuum or air sampling to determine the extent of the issue.

2) Project Monitoring- Provide an assessment of any and all mold or air quality hazards and work together with an abatement contractor to safely and completely neutralize any and all issues. Duties performed in the course of project monitoring include, but are not limited to, ensuring a safe working environment in and around the work area, review of all abatement contractor documentation prior to starting the abatement to ensure full compliance with all regulatory standards and oversight of abatement contractor to ensure all abatement duties are performed in a safe manner and all industry regulations are followed during the course of the abatement.  Air and/or bulk clearance sampling and a visual clearance inspection are performed following completion of the project to ensure the hazard is no longer an issue.

3) Mold and Air Quality Consulting-  Provide complete Scope of Work documentation prior to the beginning of an abatement project so the project is bid correctly the first time and change orders can be avoided.  Conduct pre-work job walks to ensure all information relating to the hazard is communicated thoroughly to all those present.
